Lara Logan
Lara Logan, born 29/03/71, is an South African television journalist and war reporter. She was an CBS News reporter from 2002 to 2018.60 Minutes' executive producers Jeff Fager and Lara Logan said that her inaccurate and politcally biased coverage of the 2012 Benghazi attacks "the biggest mistake of my 10-year watching." In the year 2019 she joined the Sinclair Broadcast Group, a conservative media company. The company was acquired by Fox Nation in January 2020. Fox News runs the subscription streaming service. She claimed that she was "dumped by the network" in March 2022. Logan was a reporter for the Sunday Tribune of Durban during her studies (1988-1989), followed by the Daily News of the city (1990-1992). In 1992 she joined Reuters Television Africa, primarily as a senior producer. After four years she decided to venture into freelance journalism. She was appointed as an editor/producer, reporter and editor/producer at Fox/SKY, Fox/SKY and CBS News, ABC News (in London), NBC and the European Broadcasting Union. She worked for CNN and reported on events such as the 1998 United States embassy bombings in Nairobi and Tanzania, the conflict in Northern Ireland, and the Kosovo war
